Media Statement - 20th January 2008

Community Cabinet meetings are part of Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s commitment to ensure close consultation with the Australian people on the things that concern them, whether they are national or local matters

These meetings give people in the community an opportunity to meet with Cabinet members in person and ask questions directly about issues which are important to them.

Community Cabinet meetings will be held at various venues across Australia and will generally be held on Sundays. Community Cabinet meetings will be advertised in the local media, together with times and location, and where further information can be found.

Information and attendance forms will also be posted on the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet website: click on: http://www.pmc.gov.au/community_cabinet/
